Lion and Androcles

A slave named Androcles once escaped from his master and fled to the forest. 
As he was wandering about there he came upon a Lion lying down moaning and groaning. 
At first he turned to flee, but finding that the Lion did not pursue him, he turned back and went up to him. As he came near, the Lion put out his paw, which was all swollen and bleeding, and Androcles found that a huge thorn had got into itwas causing all the pain. 
He pulled out the thorn and bound up the paw of the Lion, who was soon able to rise and lick the hand of Androcles like a dog. 

Then the Lion took Androcles to his cave, and every day used to bring him meat from which to live. So the Lion ate them all, and when the day came, he took Androcles to the cave in order to eat them. Androcles was very well pleased with the Lion, and told the lion his story. 

Then they went to the cave, where Androcles lay and slept.  When Androcles awoke, he found that he was naked and was crying, and the lion dragged him to the cave. So the lion put the two of them to bed. Androcles thought, "It's quite strange that so many beasts would come to a cave and have a man carry them to sleep, for I feel that they may eat them alive." So he led the Lion to the cave, where, after some time, he saw a young lion, who had been lying down in a place where a woman had been asleep. Androcles thought, "This is not what I expected. I did not have my hopes up." So he brought the young lion to the cave, and there he lay still. Then the lion dragged the old lion to the cave, and the lion went along the path and fell asleep.

Androcles then began to tell the story again. Then he went to the cave where Androcles was lying. And he found that there were wolves in the cave. When the young lion saw Androcles, he said to him, "Who is this young lion? He says he has been eating meat from a tree in the forest." Androcles said to him, "This is the young lion. Why does he have meat?" and the old lion said, "I did not eat from it, for I see there are wolves in the forest. And I can go to the forest and find them." So he said to the wolf, "I will not eat from it. I will eat a meat from a tree in the forest." So he said to the wolf, "I will eat a meat from a tree in the forest." So he said to the wolf, "I will not eat a meat from a tree in the forest." So he said to the wolf, "I will not eat a meat from a tree in the forest." So he said to the wolf, "I will not eat a meat from a tree in the forest." And he said to the wolf, "I will not eat a meat from a tree in the forest."
Androcles went to see the wolf and saw that he was not a bear-like creature
